Swimming is my life 😘🇷🇺
what is the name of the background music ?
I feel like a fish above water, because i don't have access to a pool and my school doesn't have a swim team. I need to break free someday. Someday when ever i make it to college ( im a junior right now). Please just be glad that you swim almost year round and have access to a large pool. Please help me :(. I only run XC and track at my school and can't improve at all due to knee pains that have occured since 7th grade. Its very irritating and has resorted me to my last athletic talent, swimming. It's the only thing i have left D: and nobody will understand that i feel, because nobody cares about swimming at my school. The people who understand are my coaches and my closest friends. Just please be thankful for what you have and take any opportunities you can get. I have this inner swimmer wanting to burst, but can't because its trapped in a 26ft pool. Ive had many nicknames in the past year. This includes dolphin, fish and one person called me mini michael phelps (lol). Its just really sad that im trapped and there isnt away out except to just wait. PLZ HELP D:
Watching this EVERY time….
Going to school
I watch this before every swim practice.
Gracies a tots
Swimmers are the best! 😊
Listened to this before my first 500 free, got regionals. I believed in my self, I powered through the pain, I thought of the good not the bad.
I listen to this on the way to practice sometimes
You know, I used to watch this vid when I did swimming over 2 years ago and saw this vid on my favourite list. I can still relate to this day with what I do on a daily basis, this video is worth watching even if you're not a swimmer!
Not a swimmer anymore…but I stil watch it before any workout
I watched this before a race and I beat my PB by three seconds
LETS FUCKING GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
100k clicks are from me. This just pushes!
i always listen to this before a workout. it gets to me
I watched this video at every single morning practice leading up to the 2016 Trials to the point I’ve memorized every word
PFFFFT 6AM?! I WAKE UP AT 4:30 😂 Ok but seriously, this video is really the truth, the horribly awesome truth.
I know this is technically for swimmers, but the actual dialog is encouraging for all athletes. I'm a dancer and just listening to this makes me want to work harder.
I love taking the easy way but then that voice comes telling me If you take that way You'll achieve Nothing Then I'm like Damnit Taking the hard way out
The message of the video is good but eventually it has his bad sides like too much stress on your body and mind will breakdown you at some point you cant push everyday at your max effort cause you will be a mess haha So i find out this about myself wanted to just share it with ya 🙂
OMG MICHAEL PHELPS?!? I think I saw him.

rise and shine…
It’s 6 am and your hand can’t make it to the alarm clock before the voices in your head begin telling you that it’s too early, too dark, and too cold to get out of bed.
Aching muscles lie still in rebellion pretending not to hear your brain commanding them to move.
A legion of voices are shouting their unanimous permission for you to hit the snooze button and go back to dreamland, but you didn’t ask their opinion.
The voice you’ve chosen to listen to is one of defiance. It says that there was a reason you set that alarm in the first place, so sit up, put your feet on the floor and don’t look back because we’ve got work to do.
Welcome to the Grind.
For what is each day but a series of conflicts between the right way and the easy way?
Ten thousand streams fan out like a river delta before you, each one promising the path of least resistance, but the thing is, your headed upstream, and when you make that choice, when you decide to turn your back on what’s comfortable and what’s safe and on what some would call “common sense.”
Well that’s day one. From there it only gets tougher, so just make sure that this is something that you want because the easy way out will always be there, ready to wash you away. All you have to do is pick up your feet.
But you aren’t going to are you? With each step comes the decision to take another, you’re on your way now. This is no time to dwell on how far you’ve come. You’re in a fight against an opponent that you can’t see but you can feel him on your heels, can’t you? Feel him breathing down your neck?
You know what that is? That’s you. Your fears, your doubts, your insecurities all lined up like a firing squad ready to shoot you out of the sky.
But don’t lose heart. While they are not easily defeated, they are far from invincible. Remember this is the Grind – the Battle Royale between you and your mind, your body and the devil on your shoulder who is telling you “this is just a game, that this is just a waste of time. Your opponents are stronger than you.”
Drown out the voice of uncertainty with the sound of your own heartbeat, burn away your self doubt with a fire lit beneath you, remember what we’re fighting for, and never forget that momentum is a cruel mistress. She can turn on a dime of the smallest mistake. She is ever searching for the weak place in your armor – that one tiny thing that you forgot to prepare for.
So as long as the devil is hiding in the details, the question remains, “Is that all you got? Are you sure?”
When the answer is yes, when you’ve done all you can to prepare yourself for battle, then it is time to go forth and boldly face your enemy – the enemy within.
Only now you must take that fight into the open, into hostile territory. You’re a lion in a field of lions all hunting the same elusive prey with a desperate starvation that says “victory is the only thing that can keep you alive.”
So believe that voice that says you CAN run a little faster, you can throw a little harder, and that for you, the laws of physics are merely a suggestion.
Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident. Sweat on the other hand, is for those who know that it is a choice.
So decide now because destiny waits for no man and when your time comes and a thousand different voices are trying to tell you that you’re not ready for it – listen instead to that lone voice of dissent – the one that says “You are ready, you are prepared, it’s all up to you now.”
So Rise and Shine.

Today I swim the 500 for the first time, and I’m scared out of my mind
WOW
Yes, just got my 3 mins of motivation high. Time to sleep.
The premise of this video is off. Its important to get plenty of sleep. You shouldn't be forcing yourself out of bed. Besides, there are like 14 hours in the day so its not like there's not enough time… unless you have a full time job in addition to athletics in which case you clearly aren't that serious about hence why push yourself so hard?
Who actually work this?
Whose voice is behind this incredible speech?
I only swim 6 times a week on my own time, i quit basketball to finally do something what i have always wanted and i can swimming is not easy, but progress keeps me motivated
I'm a swimmer myself a competitive one and I can tell you that swimming isn't easy….
People say that swimming is fun but they don’t know how hard waking up early is and how cold the water is 😂
Honestly screw morning trainings lol
if i made this video it would end at 0:02
I stopped swimming a year ago i just got to tired but now im telling myself im ready again im gonna do this and im gonna rise this time My old team doesnt know im swimming again but im gonna show them that i have a time to shine too like theirs
