Measurement is in the eyes of the beholder.
How do you have a successful rebound relationship? This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls,
A Boomer Womens Guide to Men and Dating, a nation wide talk show host. Now, as a relationship
consultant I have had many, many questions about how to have a successful rebound relationship.
It is not easy but it is doable, and how do we do it? Number one, you must set down the
parameters, the guidelines. You say to the other, I want to know about you not about
your conflicts and issues in your last relationship or marriage. And, I want you to know about
me not my conflicts or issues in my last relationship or marriage. I’m really interested in you
as a person and how you respond to things and I want you to be interested in me as a
person and how I respond to things. I know that your baggage is painful to you and my
baggage is painful to me. But, I find you to be interesting and I hope that you find
me to be the same. In that light, you can make that rebound relationship successful.
So, it really depends on how you approach it from day one. If you set the guidelines
and set the parameters it is going to happen the way you want it to happen. It’s a doable
thing. So, keep those suggestions in mind because the worst of all worlds is you loose
someone that you really could have a fabulous experience with. This is Dr. Paul, may your
fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow.
