Parents trying to regain custody of 10 children

WLKY’S CHRISTINA MORA IS HARDINSBURG TO TELL US WHY THE CHILDREN WERE REMOVED FROM THE HOME AND WHAT’S NEXT FOR THE FAMILY. Right now Joe and Nicole Naugler are inside a private custody hearing at the Breckinridge County Justice Center. They’re trying to regain custody for their 10 children who were taken away last week when deputies deemed their living situation unsafe. The Nauglers say they live off- the-grid — meaning without reliance on public utilities. They live in what they call a cabin … in the small community of Garland and their kids are home- schooled. Nicole Naugler was taken into custody for resisting arrest and and disorderly conduct during her interaction with police.
