Live PD: Retrieving the Retriever (Season 3) | A&E

[music playing] – Right now, we got a report
that was called in on a dog that fell into a pond. He got fired dispatched,
but I’ve got some dive gear and wet suit with me. So I may see what I can
do to help out too L1, I’ll be on scene. Sir, how far back? Is the dog still
up on the surface? OK. – He’s treading water, but he’s
not going to last much longer. OK. I just happened to
be on our dive team, so I got the gear with me. Oh, I see him. [moan] [police radio chatter] – No, I’m looking at it. I’m going to gear up real quick. It’s only about 5
feet off the shore. It’s OK, boy. [police radio chatter] [moan] – [inaudible] [police radio chatter] – Now get out. – [inaudible] ice awls? – Yeah. – I put them over there. Got him? [music playing] [police radio chatter] – [inaudible] – Yeah. – [inaudible] [police radio chatter] – We are on the scene. We’re on scene. – Went good. Um, I was able to pull
the dog out real easy, and now he’s in the car trying
to get warmed up a little bit. – He seems to be doing OK. He’s definitely cold. Once we get him in a medic,
he’ll be a lot warmer. Good job, Leah. Good job, Leah.
[moan] [inaudible] [moan] It’s OK. There you go [moan] There you go. All right. Oh, yeah, that’s the spot. – They’re taking the dog
to an emergency MedVet. They’ll try to keep him
warm trying to get there. They’ve got a room
waiting for him. The owner will head there too. And we’ll pack up our gear
and move on to the next call. [music playing]

  1. This was absolutely heartbreaking, thank goodness Jake made a full recovery. Poor pup looked so defeated, and that duck seemed to be rubbing it in his face ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

  2. So glad I don't see any comments like "this is a waste of taxpayer's money" that dog has every right to rescue and medical treatment as anyone and she's a good girl just trying to make duck friends โค๐Ÿ’™

  3. Thatโ€™s awesome! Nice to see police & fire/ambulance resources being used for an actual innocent victim, instead of some gross ODโ€™ing junkie who we all know is going to do it again. Definitely support my tax dollars going to rescue dogs & cats vs junkies!

  4. Hold on as i take 20 minutes to put on a suit and get back up to deal with a bit of ice

  5. I canโ€™t be the only one that teared up when I heard him making them sounds and saw his head go under. Omg so sad glad they got him out.

  6. I'm glad that they treat this dog like one of us. Got the paramedics, all the sweet talk in the world to keep him calm… and probably full on treats, well done!

  7. Man took his time I wouldโ€™ve dove in for the dog uniform and all

  8. Ok Iโ€™m balling my eyes out it was so so horrible just watching him but when I heard her moaning in pain from being so cold and tired it just broke my heart into pieces. You could hear her fear and pain in every moan she gave out…..thank god for that man and thank god for good police. That officer was rushing for that poor puppy as he would a human!

  9. I was screaming just jump in there you dummies but still at the same time I know how bad this could go wrong even in a few feet of icy water so I guess they handled it just right

  10. Why spend all that money and resources on a dog when you have people working for Walmart with no medical insurance?

  11. Poor fella must've been unbelievably exhausted, he couldn't even stand up once he was out. Thank goodness the people got there in time, what heroes. One of the best episodes of Live PD I've seen.

  12. While he was putting on the suit, I was crying and screaming at the screen saying "hurry up!!!!!!".

  13. the dog groaning in pain just killed me i wanted to jump through my computer in my underwear to save this dog!!

  14. They called medic for the dog ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ bless them!

  15. It's the sound that gets me. A dog can look sad…. but that sound leaves no doubt that it is in dire need of help.

  16. Aww poor dog ๐Ÿ’–. I'm so glad the dogs okay. Must've been traumatic.

  17. God bless everyone who helped the dog ๐Ÿ•. Canโ€™t stop crying from happiness. ๐Ÿ˜ญโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  18. Legend has it that the cop pulling out full scuba gear for a dog in two feet of water is still getting his balls busted.

  19. Probably suffered from bad hypothermia but they definitely got there just in time she wouldn't have lasted much longer.

  20. My word, the effort put in for this doggo guy is the BEST THING I'LL SEE ALL DAY

  21. Oh my, the poor baby, but thank you so much for saving him! It broke my heart!

  22. This guy just got into a high speed chase with a 16 year old who ran over and killed a pedestrian with his equally stupid friends a few days ago

  23. Love seeing y'all do.good things like this. There's good and bad people in every position and this officer is definitely on the good side.

  24. why waste time suiting up? take most of your clothes off, tie a rope and get the dog. its only a few feet from shore and as long as the officer didnt have any heart complications it would be safe. those few minutes could've been the dogs life.

  25. I would never let my dog run free near frozen ponds unless I were there……dogs instinct about killed him…….ignorant owner….

  26. This was SO hard to watch. But heart-warming to see these men taking such good care of this pup!

  27. I was more emotionally involved with this dog then any other episode I've watched of people getting hurt or hurting each other

  28. That's the last thing I would think would be in the back of a cop car. Super cool how they called in the whole fleet of medics for this puppy. Humanity is good.

  29. he had no strength left. he gave it his all! Strong and good boy. Ugh. ๐Ÿ™

  30. Yโ€™all couldnโ€™t help the duck too ๐Ÿ˜—๐Ÿ˜—๐Ÿ˜— rip mr duck ๐Ÿฆ†

  31. Awwwwww I love that they did all that for a dog that really gives me hope!!!!!

  32. Wait wait that dog had an owner?? If my dog was ever in that situation id be diving in to save her. Idc how cold, that's my baby.

  33. Good job guys! Thank you! I am not to crazy about dogs (scared of them do to bad experiences from childhood years) but tearing up about this heroic rescue. You are a good sons of this wonderful land.

  34. The moron owner should never have the dog off leash or make sure his yard is fenced. Poor thing should be taken away.

  35. My heart!!! How sweet! This is the best video from LivePD yet. Yes. Because it has a puppy.

  36. Is the puppy/baby okay. OMG let something happen to my babies like that and I'll just die from yelling. But I have service animals so we have a big time because they help me out every day. God I love my dogs aka my babies

  37. I just can't like this video enough. It was like watching a movie compressed in 4 minutes.

  38. The poor puppy and itโ€™s owner mustโ€™ve been terrified, my dog used to open the latch on the fence gate herself the moment we werenโ€™t looking because she loved to swim in the creek behind our house and sheโ€™d come back within an hour completely fine but that would still scare us. I canโ€™t imagine a dog getting out and getting a call it was stuck in a frozen river

  39. Out of every Live PD clip I've watched in this playlist so far this is by far the HARDEST to watch and the worst. I had to take my headphones off.

  40. Thank you so much you were over the top especially with this episode thank you so much again๐Ÿ’Œ๐Ÿ’“๐Ÿ’“

  41. That at poor baby! I'm so glad they got him out! His whole body would of shut down on him very soon. Good job to the home owner and the cops! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿพ

  42. Here in philly the cops would do nothing. And our fire department dont like people so they def wouldnt help an amimal

  43. This was a great use of police resources.
Forget stopping murderers, rapists and drug dealers letโ€™s save a dog.
