Hey what’s up, I am MUCHELLEB and this video is all about how to make tomorrow better and how to reset your week. So if you have had a bad day, (Maybe you’ve had a bad few days), visit this video and use it like a checklist. Step 1: Clean your space Shout out to those of you who are heavily impacted by your environment and surroundings! I don’t know if this is everyone, But I find if my environment is messy you can pretty much guarantee that I’m not at my best. You can almost tell like what my vibe is by the state of my room. The worst thing that I could think of the day after your bad day is just waking up to like a pigsty and feeling like you’re just going to have a repeat of yesterday. Make your space feel fresh, clean, and clear so that you’re ready to go tomorrow. Step 2: Grab a notebook and write down what you’ve accomplished in that day. If you’re going to dwell on anything after a bad day, try and dwell on your successes– even like miny, baby successes! You ordered your coffee without stumbling through your order, you said hey to that person in the elevator when you usually wouldn’t, your hair looked great… By writing down a bunch of your accomplishments, you’re like pointing out your brain like, “Hey, No!
Like I did pretty good at these particular things, go me!” and fighting away from that negativity bias. Step 3: Using that same notebook, write down three things that you’re grateful for. Was the weather good today? Did you have a smooth drive to work? Did you find a park really easily? If you’re feeling super down, like you’ve had a terrible day, I would highly recommend writing down 50 things you’re grateful for; Only rules being they all need to be different and they all need to be specific. Doing a big gratitude dump is the best way to pull yourself out of a negative mindset. Next step: Clean yourself. Put on a candle, put on some relaxing music. Might I recommend the piano music playlist that I’ve recommended in my favourites video (I’ll link in the description). Exfoliate the crap out of your body, except not too hard because that’s bad for your skin. Get some Lush body moisturizers and just like cover yourself! Put on the face mask that you never use, shave (I know…), clean away the crappy day that you’ve had. Once you have a clean room and you have a clean body, you’re going to feel so much better after a bad day. Guaranteed, or money back! Next up, plan what you’ll do tomorrow. Write down the one most important thing that you need to get done tomorrow, and then add two little subtasks that it would be nice for you to get done tomorrow. And if you want to perk yourself up, put down your most important thing as something like exciting that you’ve been planning on doing for a while, like a little mini project, getting started on it… That way you have something to look forward to tomorrow. And the last step is to get into nature or the sunshine. This probably should have been the first step! If you’ve finish work, you feel just like bleh, head straight in to nature, lie on a park bench, or if you feel like you need to look busy grab a book, soak up what’s left of the sun, breathe in the fresh air. If you feel like serious mental resistance to going outside you can literally bring along your iPad, watch a TV show, I know some people will not agree with that recommendation but like as long as you’re getting yourself outside, getting yourself into fresh air… There is literally a form of therapy, I’m pretty sure it’s in Japan, and it’s just getting people out in trees. It’s like tree therapy. Just surrounding yourself in trees is therapeutic. And I think that’s so true, like there is something about being nature that genuinely has an impact on your mood and changes your well-being. It changes how you feel. So those are my steps to resetting your week, making tomorrow a little bit better. What do you guys do after you’ve had a bad day? I would love to hear from you down in the comments below.
